Apart from working in the educational and socio-economic segment, we are also there to reach out to the other aspect of culture and art. Folk Art and Culture is considered to be one of the great arts and traditions of our country. There are various issues and problems for which this segment of art in its way to destruction.
We at Krishnanagar Centre for Social Studies and Research organization do the needful to do necessary research to identify the underlying reasons and reasons for such condition of Folk Culture. During our research and findings, we came to know that among all the reasons poverty is the main culprit behind this. Therefore, we have been doing our share of work in helping these Folk artists in their way to survive in this field.
We have been going out of our way to bring back the lost honour of this culture to establish it in its course again. In this regard, we have come across different Jatra artists of Birbhum, Purulia and Bankura. These artists happen to have meagre income using which they are barely able to survive.
We contact with such distressed artists and provide them with dress materials as well as other needs so that things become a little easier for them. On the other hand, we also make sure their children get proper education and nutrition to have a better future. We resolve their issues and provide them with quality education to help them stand on their feet.
