Our Misson
The main mission of Krishnanagar Centre for Social Studies and Research (KCSSR) is to lessen the pain, grief and suffering of downtrodden people of backward classes like ST, SC, OBC and others in whatever way possible. We also have other missions like:
- Lifting the status, condition and dignity of distressed and poor people coming from different backward classes through their actual empowerment.
- Improving the lives and livelihood as a whole of those who are less fortunate.
- Socio educational and socio economical development of the poor people of different places like Nadia, Murshidadab, Sunderban, North 24 Pgs etc.
- Taking up research work on socio-cultural segment and helping it flourish in the best way possible.
- Identifying the different aspects of folk culture and reviving it from its path to extinction.
- Promoting and encouraging literacy, political, cultural, technical education and scientific works and activities through scheduled training, workshop, programme as well as research study.
- Helping poorest people of the society to achieve a certain quality of life for promoting genuine sense of balanced equality, peace and harmony.
- Promoting Khadi and handloom stuff more.
- Organizing different sports and cultural events for destitute children, adolescent and women and providing them necessary entertainment.
- Establishing different charitable clinics and dispensary for the less fortunate people.
