On February 12, 2025, KCSSR, in collaboration with SVKM’s NMIMS Mumbai, organized a free health and dental checkup camp at Vivekananda Seva Sadan O Pathan Pathan, Tantigachhi, Shimurali, PS Chakdah, West Bengal. Dr. Pritam Kumar Das (BDS, MBA), under the guidance of Dr. Mala Ghosh Moitra (President, KCSSR), conducted comprehensive health screenings and motivational sessions. Many students, previously engaged in begging and consuming unsafe food, have transformed through KCSSR’s educational programs. This initiative aligns with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health & Well-being) and 4 (Quality Education) by promoting health awareness and inclusive education. Dr. Das provided oral hygiene education, nutrition guidance, and mental health support, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being. He inspired students to pursue education and self-reliance, fostering long-term community upliftment. KCSSR remains committed to empowering underprivileged tribal children through healthcare and education. This program, part of SVKM’s NMIMS Mumbai Civic Engagement Internship, strengthens grassroots impact and sustainable social development. By bridging healthcare gaps and promoting literacy, KCSSR continues to create a lasting positive change. These efforts contribute to reducing inequalities (SDG 10) and enhancing social inclusion.
